The May District 5 Meeting took place at noon on Saturday, May 9th, 2026, at the Hillsdale Tavern in Hillsdale, KS. Tony called the meeting to order at 20:15pm.
Reports.
Sergeant at Arms Report: Kim reported on the number of those present at the meeting. She also introduced Christina, the bartender and server who was taking care of everyone during the meeting.
Special thanks to Betsy who brought burgers and brats with all the fixings, as well as strawberry shortcake. Thanks also to Bobbi who brought brownies.
Secretary’s Report: It was decided to wave the reading of the Secretary’s Report. The April Report was accepted and approved as written in the newsletter.
Treasurer’s Report: The Treasurer’s Report was approved as read and submitted.
Product Line Report: The district product is beginning to move, for instance, May 3rd at Big Dawg’s Swap Meet, also at the meetings. All product donations have been covered.
State Report: Tony gave the report in conjunction with the legislative report. Please see the newsletter for any information regarding the state and legislative reports. Tony’s reports were all agreed upon, seconded and passed by those present.
Old Business/New Business.
There was more discussion about the product line. As mentioned before, product is moving. As also discussed in prior meetings, it was decided to continue moving the product the district currently has prior to ordering new products.
Games Committee Chairman, Marty gave us a list of games for the Back to the Roots Rally.
Bud was given the task of getting two wagons for both the Labor Day Rally and the End of Year Party.
It was decided during the meeting to move forward, as usual, to get the lumber for the plaques to award the winners of the District 5 Bike Games for this year’s events. There will be trophies this year for the Kickstart Event year’s Back To our Root’s Rally. Bud is doing the trophies.
Run for the wall, passing through I-70 at 86th. If you want to support riders or want more information, check for Run for the Wall, or get with Tony.
NightTrain Run is coming up. Good Run, fun times.
July starts the board elections. If anyone is interested, wants to run, be nominated, speak to a current board member, a member, or just talk to our current District Representative, Tony.

Tony asked if anyone had any legislative ideas anyone would like to push for in September.

June Meeting is at noon on June 13th, at Full Draw in Edgerton, KS.
Motion was made to adjourn the meeting. Motion was second, and was passed.
