Early voting is open in Kansas. Be sure to get out there and vote. Vote like a biker. Do your research on politicians and the issues. Voting locally is just as important if not more than voting for just the major national elections.
At the MRF Meeting of the Minds, one of the big things was E-Bikes and the kids on them. What are they going to be or want when they get older? Possibly riders and motorcycles. The next meeting of the Minds will take place in Rapid City, SD.
Old/New Business.
- Ballots for both State and District 5 positions are open and available. The voting will be closed and collected and counted at the December Meetings.
- There was discussion about trying to put together a District 5 fundraiser in the late spring or summer. There will be more discussion about this in upcoming meetings.

SEPTEMBER 6, 2026
The September District 5 Meeting was took place at approximately noon, while the judges from the American Legion were out looking at the motorcycles, and judging them, for the District 5 Bike Show, during the Labor Day Rally, on Sunday, September 6 th , 2026, Paradise Point on Perry Lake, Ozawkie, KS. Tony Called the meeting to order. The meeting was official, but was kept informal, due to the circumstances.
During the meeting will be the last time for nominations to be open for the District 5 board positions of District Representative, Treasurer and Sergeant at Arms. Lisa will be putting the flyer together for the District 5 End of Year Party in December.
The menu for it will be pretty much the same as last year, as the attendees seem to really like it. We are taking donations for silent auction items as well as door prizes. Beth and Lisa are back to overseeing the district products.
There were no further nominations for District 5 Board Positions. Tony thanked everyone for attending and helping with the games and bike show.
Meeting was adjourned.
